Tensile Testing Metallurgical Laboratory performs Rotational Capacity Tests or RoCaps per both ASTM & AASHTO methods. This test consists of a bolt, nut and washer that individually each component has passed the material specification and they are put together and tested as an assembly.
Definition from ASTM A325 — The rotational capacity test is intended to evaluate the presence of a lubricant, the efficiency of the lubricant, and the compatibility of assemblies as represented by the components selected for testing.
TTML can perform tests up to a 2 1/2" (64 mm) bolt.
