Stress rupture is a test used to determine the time it takes for rupture of a certain material under conditions of constant load and temperature. Tensile Testing Metallurgical Laboratory performs tests to +1800 ° F.
There are 3 types of test specimens typically used:
- Smooth Bar
- Notch Bar
- Combination (Smooth & Notch) Bar (pictured)
- We also fabricate specimens for Creep testing
