This Olsen Cup test is conducted on metallic sheet materials with thicknesses up to 0.125" intended for forming applications. We also perform the Erichsen test which is used in Europe with the main differences between the two are the diameters of the penetrator and the dies.  When Sending Samples: Test specimen orientation is important. It should be noted on the Purchase Order or Work Authorization. Mark your plate with the grain flow.
