Tensile Testing Metallurgical Laboratory retains samples and remnants for a minimum of 30 days and then they are destroyed unless otherwise requested with the following ceptions:

  • Nadcap samples and remnants are kept for 6 months.
  • Failure Analysis samples and remnants are returned with the report
  • Nuclear samples are returned 30 days after testing
  • Customer needs to fill out: Return Samples Form


PLEASE NOTE:
Samples are usually returned UPS Ground unless otherwise noted. A shipping and handling fee is applied on the invoice for returned samples (Minimum $10.00). If you supply a UPS or Federal Express number there is usually no handling charges assessed.

Please state whether you need samples (the tested pieces) or remnant or both returned.

If you require a truck, please arrange for the shipping, send us a copy of the manifest, and notify Client Services when to expect the transportation so that your pieces will be ready to load.
